Jason Somma

Jason is an associate with SAIDMAN DesignLaw Group, LLC and supports utility and design patent preparation and prosecution. He also has been involved with civil litigation as a judicial law clerk for a Pennsylvania trial court after passing the bar, and serving as a judicial extern in both federal and state appellate courts while in law school.
Jason's academic and professional background in intellectual property is both dynamic and extensive. His technical background is in materials science and electronics, where Jason has experience in prosecuting patent applications of large multinational corporations, as well as individual inventors. He also spent time with a law firm as a summer associate and school year clerk assisting in copyright litigation and patent litigation under Hatch-Waxman Act. Additionally, Jason's legal education includes earning a certificate in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Outside of work Jason enjoys traveling, wine, running, college sports, and music of all kinds.
